Her glass work includes blown vessels and solid glass paperweights, as well as stained glass panels and boxes, and fused glass ornaments.

Woodworking techniques in the studio run from veneer work to hand carved pieces. Marquetry, Shaker boxes, kolrosing, fan carving, and turned items, which include bowls and hollowed vessels, solid and hollowed ornaments, wine stoppers, door stops, lidded boxes, and decorative, yet very usable, rolling pins. Some gilded work also slips in occasionally!

The beauty of the west Michigan lakeshore greatly influences Barb's work. The lake, woods, and gorgeous sunsets all provide themes for many pieces. The area's flora and fauna are great inspiration.

Barb welcomes commissions for stained glass and marquetry. Pet portraits using marquetry techniques are a favorite. Also, custom stained glass boxes that encase event invitations (weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, graduations) are a specialty.
